Meegs is a true story based on very embarrassing, but hilarious, facts. Starting with a quarter-life crisis that ensued while filling out my first 401(k) at a job that I was overqualified for and underpaid by (a classic millennial combo), cut to buying a one-way ticket to go teach English in a country that I had never been to, cut to getting interrogated in Norway … the list, as I hope you read to find out, goes on.

This is a story of redemption, heartbreak, adventure, and beer with a splash of tequila. Not in the same cup, of course.

In this first installment, you will discover the end of a chapter and the beginning of it all. The leap that took me across the world, straight into a new country, with a new language, new people, but the same problems. Well, minus the homelessness. That was definitely new and while an experience that I enjoy telling it, I hope to never experience again. But that’s for next time.
